The Jetty
A quick walk down the beach to the Jetty (see photo to right) is a popular spot to view spectacular sunsets, snorkel and fish.

Located at the intersection of Gulf Shore Drive and Highway 98, (just 1 ½ miles from the Islander parking lot), you will find Target, Winn Dixie and Walgreen’s along with smaller specialty shops, restaurants and gas station. For Fitness Buffs
Although it is small, the Islander offers a work out room with several treadmills, and state-of-the-art fitness machines at no additional cost. There are also other full service gyms in Destin. If you enjoy running or walking, the sidewalk on Gulf Shore Drive offers a convenient location to go for a walk or jog without having to deal with crosswalks and excessive traffic.
Golf
The Florida Gulf Coast offers a many beautiful, championship golf courses for your selection. Whether you’re a seasoned professional of an occasional weekend player, you’ll find great places to play, along with many seasonal golf tournaments, scrambles, and the like. The Destin Fishing Fleet is located on the docks behind AJs – a great place to hear live music, have a cocktail and see what the fishermen bring in.
